Tabstop Audits

Accessibility audit services

Accessibility audits for small business websites, in plain English

We test your site with automated scanners and a real person using a keyboard and screen reader. You get a clear report: what's wrong, who it affects, and exactly how to fix it. Fixed prices, from $299.

  • Fixed price, scope agreed first
  • Manual keyboard and screen reader testing
  • No overlay widgets

What you get

Our accessibility testing services pair automated scans with a person testing by keyboard and screen reader. Think of us as a fixed-price web accessibility consultant, without the retainer. Below are real screenshots, not mock-ups. Both come from a page the W3C built to be inaccessible for teaching, so no real business is on display.

Screenshot of the sample report's 'Results at a glance' table. It lists issues most severe first, each with a severity label and its WCAG 2.2 criteria, starting with three critical issues: keyboard focus thrown away on most links, image menu links with no accessible name, and a quick menu with no label.

A full audit report

  • 11 issues
  • 3 critical
  • 5 serious
  • 2 moderate
  • 1 minor

Every issue is ranked by severity and tied to a WCAG 2.2 criterion, with who it affects and a specific fix. Our manual keyboard pass found the worst barrier, focus thrown away on 14 of the 20 links in the demo content, which the automated scan didn't flag. Read the sample report.

Screenshot of issue 1 in a free snapshot, 'Form fields without labels'. A cropped view of the demo page has the unlabelled quick menu drop-down outlined in pink and numbered 1, followed by what we found, why it matters, how to fix it, and the WCAG reference.

A free one-page snapshot

  • 3 issues explained
  • 1 unlabelled field
  • 33 images without alt text
  • 7 unnamed links

Each snapshot shows three real issues from your home page with an annotated screenshot and a plain-English fix. See the demo snapshot or ask for one for your site.

How it works

Three steps, with the scope and price agreed before any work starts.

  1. Tell us about your site

Pick a package, or fill in a short form and we'll recommend one. We confirm the pages in scope in writing.

  2. We test it, by tool and by hand

axe-core and Lighthouse scans, then keyboard-only and manual accessibility testing with a screen reader, zoom and contrast checks.

  3. You get a plain-English report

Every issue with its severity, WCAG criterion and a fix. Do it yourself, hand it to your web person, or add a Fix Sprint.

Ask for a free one-page snapshot of your home page. You'll get a short private page showing:

Or check a page yourself

Our free checker runs an automated scan of one page in your browser. Run our free accessibility checker on one page.

A snapshot or a free scan is a starting point, not a full audit or a compliance certification. Automated tools catch only part of what WCAG covers, which is why our paid audits add manual testing.

Why we don't sell accessibility widgets

Overlay widgets promise to fix a site with one line of code. They don't change the underlying code that screen readers and keyboards rely on, and many disabled users find they get in the way. We fix the actual pages instead. Read our honest take on accessibility overlays.

What an audit is, and isn't. An audit tells you where your site stands against WCAG 2.2 AA today and how to improve it. It isn't a certificate, a guarantee, or legal advice, and we won't pretend otherwise.

Guides for doing it yourself

Common questions

Will an audit make my site compliant?

No audit can promise that, and we won't. An audit shows where your site stands against WCAG 2.2 AA today and how to improve it. Whether a site meets a law depends on facts and legal questions we can't answer. We test and explain; we don't certify.

Do you have a free tool?

Yes. Our free website accessibility checker is automated and checks one page at a time. It doesn't check color contrast, and like any automated tool it finds only part of what WCAG covers, so it's a starting point rather than a substitute for manual testing or an audit.

Which package should I choose?

For most small business sites, the Full Audit is the best fit: up to 10 pages plus the form, booking or checkout people use to reach you. If you'd like a quick, low-cost look first, the Snapshot Audit covers 3 pages, and its price is credited toward a Full Audit if you upgrade within 30 days.

Is this legal advice?

No. We're accessibility testers, not lawyers. If you have a legal question, please talk to a qualified attorney. We're happy to share our report with them.
